Changes to Your Body
- Your breasts continue to grow larger. They may get softer and the veins may start to show.
- Constipation may become a problem.
- You may get skin blotches and discoloration over your cheeks, nose and forehead.
Baby's Progress
- Is about eight to 12 inches long.
- Weighs about one-half to one pound.
- Is busy developing muscles and is very active.
Do's
- Get lots of rest. Take rest breaks if you are tired.
- Ask your doctor or nurse about childbirth classes in your community.
- Ask your employer about maternity leave.
Don'ts
- Don't drink unpasteurized milk or juice and don't eat soft or blue-veined cheese.
- Don't push yourself. This is the time to let others take care of you.
- Don't eat raw or undercooked meats or eggs.
