Federal Reporting for Part C
As the recipient of the federal Early Intervention (EI) funds in the State of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) must comply with federal regulations and achieve certain benchmarks in reporting outcomes for recipients of Early Intervention services. These outcomes are measured along 14 different indicators and evidence of achieving these standards is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education (U.S. DOE) as part of the State Performance Plan (SPP) and Annual Performance Report (APR) for the program.
The Ohio Help Me Grow program is required, under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), to furnish several reports to the federal Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) regarding the effectiveness of program activities.
Federal Application for Part C
In order to receive federal funds under Part C of the IDEA, ODH is required to submit an application for funds each year to the federal government. Federal law requires that the proposed plan be published for public viewing at least 60 days prior to its submission to OSEP.
