Council Membership

The membership of the Ohio Help Me Grow Advisory Council is established in federal law and is further defined in the Bylaws.  The membership of Council includes both standing positions and positions that are officially appointed by the Governor of Ohio.  Standing members are representatives of state and local agencies that are statutorily required to have representation on Council.  Appointed positions are held by parents of children participating in Help Me Grow.

Council members include parents from culturally and geographically diverse areas of the state, private and public providers of Help Me Grow services, legislative representatives, and representatives from state agencies involved with Help Me Grow services. Council members serve without compensation, however parent members are offered a contract which provides a meeting stipend and reimbursement for travel and meals.
